A garment made to fit you.

On Yonge Street in midtown Toronto, near Eglinton, we cut, pin and stitch by hand — from a quick hem to a fully bespoke suit. Bring in the piece you love, or the one that never quite fit, and let us make it yours.

The work happens at the bench.

Yonge Custom Tailor is a working tailor's shop in midtown Toronto. No assembly line, no rack of stock answers — just measuring tape, chalk, shears and a machine that has earned its keep.

“Measure twice. Cut once. Make it sit right on the shoulder.”

Every piece is assessed on the body first. We look at how a jacket hangs, where a trouser breaks, how a sleeve falls — then we take it in, let it out, or rebuild it from the cloth up. The same care goes into a wedding suit and a favourite pair of jeans.

What we do.

How a fitting goes.

  1. 1

    Bring the piece in

Drop by with the garment on, or with the cloth in hand. We talk through what you want changed and how you like it to sit.

  2. 2

    Measured & pinned

We measure, mark with chalk and pin the lines right on you — then give you an honest quote and a turnaround time before any thread is cut.

  3. 3

    Stitched & pressed

The work is done at the bench, pressed, and finished. You try it on once more so it leaves the shop sitting exactly right.
